    ” James Manero”: Likable
    The fifth President of the United State. He served from 1817 to 1825. James Monroe was a diplomate during Thomas Jefferson’s presidency, in addition he had fought in George Washington’s army during the
    Revolutionary War against British. He easily won election in 1817, relaxed and likeable. James Manero married Elizbeth Kortright and they had three children. As a president, his contributions to American history are significant especially, U.s foreign policy through the Manroe doctrine. He issued the Manroe Doctrine, a policy aimed at,’ Limiting European Colonialism in the Americas. This was a foreign policy statement by James Manroe that warned European countries not to interfere with newly independent countries in the Americas. The Doctrine helped established the United State as a major power in the Western Hemisphere.
    James Manroe was the last founding Father to serve as President. His presidency marked the end of the Verginia dynasty, a period when from of the first five presidents were from Virginia. His presidency coincided with the, ” Era of good feeling” characterized by relative political harmony and economic growth.
    On July 4,1831 James Manroe died at the age of 73 at his son-in-law’s home in Yew York city.
