    In my understand, Compare is, to tell what is alike or the same between two things.
    Contrast is, to tell what is different between two things.
    Comparison in writing discusses elements that are similar, while contrast in writing discusses elements that are different, A compare and contrast essay, comparing and contrast is an important in academic writing, it involves taking two or more subjects and analyzing the differences and similarities between them. Comparing and contrasting can be a useful tool to help organize our thoughts before we begin writing any type of academic test.
