    ‘ James Garfield’ Assassinated.
    James Granfield was the 20th president of United States. He served only 100 days before he was shot, and eleven weeks later he died from his wounds. James Granfield was from state of Ohio. Probably he was the poorest in his early years. He worked as a farmer, a sailor, a carpenter, a teacher and a janitor. He married on of his students. They had four sons and a daughter. He won awards for his bravery during the war.
    He opposed labor union and cooperative farm program, called the grange, he compromised with lawmakers to win their support instead of accepting the mandate. James Granfield also clashed with a powerful senator from New York state issue was the government jobs in their states and the issue set the tone for Granfield short time in office. Before Granfield could really suggest any ideas for government reforms, he was shot by someone. Doctors tried to remove the bullet, one of the men who tried was Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone.
