Many Americans consider him one of the country greatest leaders. Abraham Lincon was born in the frontier state of Kentucky, and he belonged from a poor family, who had a simple and long Cabon home. Ibraham Lincon was tall, thin, strong and honest young man, the called in court as, ” Honest Abe”.
He also served one term as a congress man in the U. S House Representative, but he was not popular there. Licon was firm in believing slavery was morally wrong, but he did not believe that black people should have the same rights as white U.S citizens. During election campaign he famously discussed the issue of slavery, and he said, slavery should not spread because it is morally and politically wrong. Abraham Licon chief goal in the American Civil War was to preserve the union at the end of the War, he would have done so at any cost, including by allowing slavery to continue. As promised Licon sent supply ships. As expected, Coderate soldiers attacked. A day and a half later, the fort’s Union soldiers surrendered. The clash did not last long. Licon immediately took action to answer the loss of Fort Samter. However, the conflict between the Southern Confederacy and the Northern Union was a civil war. The war involved the entire country. At least 4 million men fought in it.The conflict divided families, Brothers, fathers and sons fought against each other. More than 620,000 men died. This civil war remained the bloodiest war in the American’s history, and it changed the country. The War radically affected American’s politics, economics and society.
