Phrasal Verbs (Technoloy)
As, we all know that the world is ever changing and so the new vocabulary and phrases have also been creating or emerging in every field of subject. Phrasal verb is a phrase with two or more words, a verb and a preposition or adverb, or both. Digital age has created many new words and phrases in English. Lot of new phrasal verb for technology and computers have added in the dictionary. A lot of current phrasal verb have been used with the technology. For example….
1) Click on: Move a mouse over an item and press to select, click on the start menu to begin.
2) Scroll up: To move slowly to the top or bottom of a text, The new story was so long, I had to scroll
down a lot to read it all.
3) Print out: Send an electronic document to a printer, I have to print out the letter, before I leave
office.
4) Turnoff, shut down, power down: Closing an application or removing power, I have finished my work
now I am going to shut down the computer.
