    Everyday Grammar.
    ” Reported Speach”
, In my understanding, reported speech when we tell someone what another person said to do. It is also known as indirect speech, is a way to express someone’s words without using their exact language. it’s commonly used in writing and conversation to share information, paraphrase and avoid direct quotes.
Common reporting verbs include, said, told, stated, mentioned, claimed, announce, declare, explained, asked, requested.
    Example:
    Direct speech:
John said,” I am going to the store”.
    Reported speech:
John said that he was going to the store.
    Direct speech:
    ” I am hungry ”.
    Reported speech:
She stated that she was hungry.
