Everyday Grammar, ” Demonstratives”
Demonstratives are, this, that, these, those in English language.
In the phrase, ”This is my hat”, the word ”This” is demonstrative pronoun.
‘This’ programme ,we are watching is really interesting.
‘That’ house right there is the one we are planning to buy.
Give me ‘that book’, the word, ”that” is demonstrative.
‘These’ mangoes are ripe to eat. You can have them.
Can you pick me up ‘these’ books? The word ‘these’ is demonstrative.
All ‘those’ students who had scored 100 in the Math and Science last year were
